Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt flat in the world and is located 3.656 metres above sea level next to Uyuni, Bolivia. The broad expense of the pan and the landscape around it are mainly responsible for its magnificence. You will find lots of volcanos nearby and in the centre of the pan is Isla Incahuasi, an island covered with huge cactuses.
