1. Kolmanskop


Kolmanskop is an abandoned mining town in Nambia. The houses are still well-preserved, but the desert took them back and therefore they are filled with sand.

2. Antelope Canyon


Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in Arizona, United States. The sun gives the sandstone unbelievable colours and it appears in different layers of pink, red and orange.

3. Nā Pali Coast


The Nā Pali Coast is a 26 kilometres coastline on the northwest side of Kaua’i, Hawaii, United States. “Nā Pali” means “high cliffs” and these are be the most spectacular cliffs you will ever see.

4. Magic Bus


Magic Bus aka Bus 142 is the bus in which Christopher McCandless aka Simon Supertramp lost his life. His story is told in the world-famous movie “Into the Wild”. It’s probably the hardest place to get to on our list, as it demands a 30 kilometres one-way hike including river crossings, but it’s definitely worth the effort. You can find this place in Alaska, United States.

5. Chobe National Park


If one is into wildlife Chobe National Park in Botswana is absolutely the place to be. But even if not, it is worth a journey. An amazing landscape as well as magnificent sunrises and sunsets make this place a great experience.

6. Arches National Park


A visit to Arches National Park in Utah, United States gives you the feeling of being in the middle of a western. One can find over 2000 natural arches there. The most famous arch is called Delicate Arch.

7. Salar de Uyuni


Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt flat in the world. Located next to Uyuni in Bolivia its broad expense and the stunning landscape around it make this place so special.

8. Tongariro Alpine Crossing


Tongariro Alpine Crossing is with good reason one of the most popular hikes in New Zealand. A sidetrip even leads up to Mount Ngauruhoe better known as Mount Doom in Lord of the Rings.

9. Panorama Ridge Trail


This trail does the panorama in its name absolutely justice. Canada and its nature isn’t a insiders’ tip in a long time, however, Panorama Ridge Trail still is one.

10. Royal National Park


The east coast of Australia is a place most travellers have on their bucket list. However, there is a place not far from Sydney which most of them don’t – Royal National Park. Australia’s first National Park is great for hiking and relaxing. Furthermore it has the most stunning natural pool looking like the figure 8 and therefore called Figure 8 Pool. The place where one must dip into once in a lifetime.
