Exit Glacier is located in the mountains of Kenai and derived from the Harding ice field. It is well known for being a drive-up glacier. However, just driving there won’t allow the most stunning views of it. Therefore one should hike up to its terminus or even better to Harding ice field. Doing so is definitely worth the pain as there are not only breathtaking views along the way but also mountain goats and hoary marmots.
