The Republic of Fiji, also simply called Fiji, is an island country in Melanesia in the South Pacific Ocean, at about 2.000 kilometres northeast of New Zealand. Fiji is an island group of more than 330 islands. Its capital is Suva, located on Viti Levu. Over 87 percent of almost 860.000 inhabitants live on the two main islands Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. The people are very laid-back, they are on Fiji Time. This means life is to be lived, not rushed. It’s not easy to decide for an island as there are so many. Waya Island, however, is definitely a good choice as there are golden sand beaches and beautiful reefs. With Octopus Resort at LikuLiku Bay there is a great place to stay as well.
