Hoover Dam is situated on the boarder between the U.S. states of Arizona and Nevada. During its construction between 1931 and 1936, 96 workers died in industrial accidents. However, the dam was finished two years ahead of schedule. There is enough concrete in Hoover Dam to build a sidewalk around the world. Furthermore every state in the U.S. furnished supplies and materials for the construction of the dam.
