Until July 25th in 1990, London Arch, also known as London Bridge, was still connected to the mainland. All of a sudden, however, the span connecting the arch with the shoreline collapsed on this day. As a result of this two tourists were captured on the outer span before being rescued by helicopter. Luckily no one got injured. The arch is located in the Port Campell National Park near Port Campell, Victoria, Australia.
