Esquimalt Lagoon is a saltwater lagoon and can be found next to Colwood, British Columbia. Because of its unique geological history, it is an area rich in wildlife. Furthermore, it is located next to Fisgard Lighthouse, which adds the final touch to its setting.

Schooner Trail
Hiking down wooden bridges to a cove is a really great experience. However, it is even better if one does that in a rainforest. Trees covered with moss as far as one can make it a really special experience. And believe it or not – one can do so in Canada.
Schooner Cove
There is not much to say about Schooner Cove, but there is enough to see. One can only access it by walking there. Therefore it is less crowded and even more stunning. Especially early in the morning when the sun is struggling with the fog for the cove.
Amphitrite Point Lighthouse
Amphitrite Point Lighthouse was founded first in 1906. The reason was the sinking of the Pass of Melfort. 9 years later the primary building was replaced through the current one, which can better withstand hurricane-force storms.
Cowichan Bay
Cowichan Bay is located near Duncan on Vancouver Island. Because of its wealth of salmon and shellfish, it was already home to First Nation people. Nowadays it is a small and cosy fishing-village with cute little houses and lovely decorated houseboats.
