Tata Beach is located on the South Island of New Zealand, approximately 20 kilometres north-east of the small town Takaka. Tata Beach is, as the name may suggests, a beach. Furthermore it is a small coastal settlement of mainly beach holiday houses right next to the beach. Tata Beach can be reached over Abel Tasman Drive, which leads directly to Abel Tasman National Park. Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest of New Zealand’s national parks and is famous for its numerous creeks with sandy beaches and turquoise-coloured water.
